Flowers for Seniors

Members of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society combine their love of plants with some philanthropic spirit to spread floral cheer to seniors in town.

Twice a year, members of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society meet to organize bouquets of seasonal flowers and distribute them to the residents at Niagara Long Term Care and Radiant Care Pleasant Manor retirement homes.

Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society believe that is is important that we can give plants to people in homes who may not otherwise get out for a bit of floral cheer. This is our way of sharing what we love with people who can’t get out and experience Mother Nature.

The NOTL Horticultural Society provide flower drop-off for seniors during the springtime when flowers begin blooming and during the winter holidays to cheer up rooms during the dark days of winter.

The NOTL Horticultural Society is always happy to take in new members who are interested in helping out with community events like these — and you don’t have to be a gardening expert.
