The Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society is one of the oldest horticultural society's in Ontario

As a completely volunteer-run registered charity, we rely on our member volunteers to operate our society. We have two feature events each year that represent our major fund-raising efforts.
​
Our mission is to encourage the continual joy of learning about gardening. We welcome everyone interested in gardening, horticulture, and environmental stewardship. To that end our group has developed and maintained community garden projects such as the Niven Pollinator Garden; William Nassau Park, Library Garden at the Community Centre, the Labyrinth at the Community Centre as well as other gardening projects within our community.

In addition to the two horticultural scholarships that we fund, at Niagara Parks School of Horticulture and Niagara College Horticultural and Environment Program - we have expanded our community outreach in 2025 to include a women's shelter and youth homeless charity.
​
In 2026 we will start a 3rd additional horticultural scholarship to Niagara College in honour of Joanne Young.
​
If you wish to make a donation or make an endowment to the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society we will invest those funds to our community projects.
